Typography School

In my first graphic design class, the instructor would not let us touch computers for upwards of six weeks. This was a completely foreign concept to me as, at the time, I believed that computers were to design what calculators were to algebra. I was very wrong and am thankful for that experience. Art is not just a visual experience, but an experience for all the senses (at least for the artist).

This video featuring David Dabner of the London College of Communication captures that wonderful truth.

Good for you, Steve, for recognizing the value of tradition and hands-on techniques in the design process!
