The Creative Process and Michel Gondry

I recently stumbled upon an amazing video on Youtube featuring the creative process of film director Michel Gondry. For those of you unfamiliar with Michel Gondry, he is responsible for films such as Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Science of Sleep, as well as dozens of music videos for bands all over the world.

This post is regarding a video he directed for the group Chemical Brothers. Your assignment is to, first, watch the finished product in which a landscape passes by the window of a passenger train to the pulse of the song. Second, watch the making-of video. It is amazing to see the creative process and his proof of concept and how, what started as notations on eight feet of graph paper could end up as a million dollar music video.
