Left Brain/Right Brain

I found this interesting visual test at Stephen Gates' blog. Which direction does the dancer turn? Clockwise or counterclockwise? Apparently her direction is indicative of which side of your brain is dominant. I'm not sure if I buy that, but it sure is fun to watch. Does watching her spin and trying to vary her direction exercise some seldom used neural pathway? Will it make me smarter? More creative? More right brained? More left brained? Who knows. Grab a friend and see for yourselves.

If so, that neural pathway died years ago in my head. I can’t get it to switch directions…what’s the trick?

For me she switches when her leg is fully outstreched to the left or the right. I can even get here to bounce back and forth, not making a full rotation.

I see clockwise, but I can get her to switch if I focus on her feet and even push her with my eyes.
