Designing the Future

Intelligent Furniture DesignAlcohol detectors in cars, state-of-the-art body dryers, and my personal favorite: Intelligent Furniture (pictured above) are just some of the hundreds of entries in NASA's "Create the Future Design Contest."

For the last three months, persons over the age of 18 were invited to enter their designs and share their best ideas for a shot at $20,000. The resulting designs are extraordinary and diverse, ranging from consumer products and sustainable technologies to safety and security initiatives. If you have a moment, I’d recommend checking it out.

(Sorry NASA, I guess the three seashells will have to wait until next year).

About

What makes us tick? What piques our curiosity? What’s what? This idealog is where we communicate what interests and inspires the smart, creative people of Larsen. We’re always thinking. Sometimes, it’s about our work. More often, it’s about our world — which, hopefully, is your world, too.
